Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This happened near to my daughter's flat - she heard the victim's screams - a 20 year old girl coming back from a night out - at 7 a.m this morning. Police have ticker-taped the area.

Hi was this confirmed by the police? This really is quite worrying
LP, I'm trying to contact them now to find out more.
I spoke to an administrator at about 10.00 this AM and sent a follow-up mail. If I get a reply. Ill let you know.
Police attended and girl taken 2 rape crisis centre. Presumably The Haven in Paddingtpn. My daughter heard screams and ran out another neighbour had gone 2 girls assistance.
Awful news, hope the poor girl is ok.

Does anyone know if Haringey police station (or any in the area) have personal alarms available to hand out? I tried to get one at covent garden police station last week and was met with a very blank look.
You can ask our local police team by emailing at: Harringay.SNT@met.police.uk
Thats very worrying - I wonder if its the same attacker as in the Pemberton road case.
A short report on this has appeared on the Haringey Independent website this morning, no details
oh no this is so awful happened 2 doors down from me was woken by a one off scream, wasnt even sure that was what I heard.
The police would not tell us what had happened but due to the fact there so was many officers there and they were dusting for prints we thought it must be linked to the incident in pemberton road and more than a bag snatch
I agree with you, local women should know, the last couple of weeks after the pemberton road incident I have been taking cabs right to the door and asking them to wait while I go in.
I have never felt like this before and we have lived here for 6 years.
My daughter (after the incident) heard some mothers passing on their way to the school asking police what happened but they wouldn't tell them anything. So when she left for work a little while later she stopped to tell mothers outside the school, as she thought it important that local women should know in order to be careful and stay safe.

I'm sure I read somewhere years ago in some statistics that most rapes happen between 6 and 8 a.m. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. What time did the other one happen?

This guy must be caught - 2 attacks in few weeks is very anxiety provoking for all the women of the area. I wonder what the police are going to do. I heard that the Pemberton Rd one will be on Crimewatch.
I'm chasing to get info as quick as I can.
