Just recently I've been unable to access any pictures on HoL. When I click on any sort of picture link, I get this error message:-
This site can’t be reached
storage.ning.com took too long to respond.
Is this a problem for other people too?

Sorry for delay, I don't check emails/HoL that often.
i couldn't read the crayfish picture - got the same error message as before

I access HoL on either of 2 desktop computers, both of which use Windows and Chrome, and the results are the same on both computers when trying to access pictures
So I can see the first picture in your interesting Ally Pally racecourse article Hugh, but none of the others
I also have this problem using a Mac
With Safari I get the following message:
“Safari can’t open this page ………. because Safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server “storage.ning.com”
With Firefox:
"Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to storage.ning.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
Konrad, can you try clearing your cache (Clear all History). Does that help?
I can’t replicate that issue on my system. Try a hard refresh Google it gor your browser) and if that doesn’t work clear history.
Reported to Ning (the platform hosts). Resolution isn't always quick though. The kiss of death response seems to be, "Our Technical Team will investigate this for you. You will be notified of all the updates we received from them". I'll keep my fingers crossed that we don't get that this time!
Thanks for following this up Hugh, and for your and Liz's (and anyone else I don't know about's) sterling work in keeping this valuable community website going.
Another off-topic query. When I try and respond to a particular reply in a discussion (by pressing the reply link under the relevant post) my posts always end up at the very end of the thread (i.e. not under the post I thought I was replying to), so they don't always make sense.. Am I doing something wrong?
