Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Depressing news:


I don't really want to discuss the whys and wherefores of betting shops anymore. We did that to death on this thread. I just want to express my utter dejection that once again we were correct and we predicted this back in July

I think we will need to fight this. We will need our MPs and councillors united on this and willing to fight it every inch of the way, we need to back our residents groups and submit lots of objections.

Is there any other high street in London which is suffering from this concentation of gambling establishments?

That's right. we are not against betting shops per se but against having so many in short a small area. Over concentration, saturation.... just too many, pushing out any other types of small businesses.
Gathering together threads on ideas for action here.
Update from LCSP on the hearing at the Council offices on Monday:

It was a long and difficult meeting, and at 11pm the chair adjurned the hearing, so we have no decision as yet. The date of the resumed hearing has not yet been fixed.

I suggest skipping forward and viewing from the start of the applicant's case onward.
