Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Our old girl's face is restored...now stay away from her, Paul Simon

You may remember not so long back the anger caused by this blatant vandalism by Paul Simon (Seaton)
Paul Simon deface listed building

Those signs, without planning permission, disfiguring a listed building came down following action by enforcement and complaints by local residents, however, the PS's board contractor left the wooden batons all across the front of the old girl's face ruining her much photographed front

Estate agent vandalism

Then a knight in shining armour stepped out of his Castle and asked his contractor to take the wooden blocks down.
Our old girl's face is now free of disfiguring marks and ready for her close up...

Oh, and grateful fans of the Salisbury might want to buy Steve Hatch a pint next Wednesday...

Who is steve hatch ?
what about the holes knocked in the brickwork when nail/drilling the boards onto ?
does anyone have an opinion ?
The contractor who undertook this work was a commercial one and was aware of the buildings listed status and the problems of potential damage, so was able to ensure that the job was done properly.

Steve will hopefully be at the drinks on Wednesday. I'll introduce you.
Steve you star! Well done.
Well done Steve - and it should be known that before Steve did this I offered him some publicity out of it for Castle's Estate Agents and he declined, saying that he just wanted to do the right thing for Harringay.
Oh that steve
Thanks steve
Well done - those batons were a mess (and Paul Simon shouldn't be allowed anywhere near).
Nice one Steve.
That's great news! However it really bothers me the incredible amount of this signs from Paul Simon and Hane (and others) littering several buildings along Green Lanes.
Gabriel, you're not the only one. Click on the tag "estate agents signs" (just below the picture of the Salisbury) and you'll be taken to a list of discussions on this issue.
Thanks Hugh! Just signed the petition to ban these eyesores!
