Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,

In recent weeks a number of cafes in or beside parks have started to open - take away only, of course.

I've spotted these - please add more in the comments:

- Clissold park cafe (side window)
- Downhills park cafe
- Forks and Green next to south gate of Downhills park
- Springfield park cafe (relocated to Bowling Green while the house is refurbished)
- Highbury fields cafe
- Park View cafe at Manor House gate of Finsbury Park

Note that opening hours may not be the same as usual, and they may not be serving all of their normal menu options.

At the time of writing, neither Chestnuts Park nor Finsbury Park cafes are open.

Also Stationers Park cafe on the Hornsey/Crouch End borders is open, 9ish - 5ish every day, weather permitting.

It's a pleasant walk from the Ladder, if you don't mind a pull uphill past the station and the Library, then down the ski-slope towards Hornsey Vale. The park is between Denton Rd and Mayfield Rd.

Markfield Park cafe is apparently open

Take a thermos flask.

Also Priory Park, the cafe by the paddling pool.

I noticed that The Pavilion was open the other day in Durnsford Park.

Are any of the public toilets open?

I don't think so. They were talking about it on Radio 4 this morning. It is a problem, more so for women of course.

They're talking about it now on World at One. Where there are cafes we could do with a loo open!

Also Highgate Wood, but they are open weekends only at the moment, as they are having electrical work done during the week.
