Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'm just trying to work out the different parking permits across the borough. Does anyone know if the permits for the Ladder are the same as West Green area (Waldeck, Langham, Carlingford, etc)?

If not, how do you get permits for that area if you don't live there? I could do with a day pass (or 4 hours would probably do) for West Green.

The Langham area is part of the huge WG Outer parking zone, the same as the north Ladder. A full map of CPZs is here.

No, you can't legitimately access RESIDENTS' parking permits of any sort if you're not a resident. Their aim is to protect parking for residents.

Some people do trade visitor permits, but this should be strongly discouraged. It is to be hoped that as Haringey digitalise their parking permit provision, they will be able to effectively rule out the parking permit trading.

Thanks, that's the map I knew was somewhere.

I understand the reason behind not being able to get permits but it makes it very hard when you're moving somewhere and can't get permits.

As such, is there anyone on here in that zone who would be able to sell me a permit? Thanks

It sounds counter-intuitive, but for a house move you can apply for a parking suspension outside the new residence:

Thanks. Unfortunately that looks to be way more expensive (over £125) than just paying a fine.

Hi Andrew, I can give you a day pass for the Belmont CPZ if that would be any use. PM me if so.

Thanks for the kind offer but looking at the map the Belmont zone is a little too far way.

OK no worries. Don't know if you're registered with 'next door', there are some people from West Green on there that might be able to help.

Hi there. We bought a new (to us!) car a couple of weeks ago and the Haringey website didn't allow me to transfer the permit details from our old car - I think because I'd sent back the paper copy for a refund when the old car died. So I emailed Haringey about applying for a permit. I still haven't heard back. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I proceed please, as I'm running out of visitor passes?

Thanks

Someone was exchanging with Seema Chandawani about the current lack of service in Haringey’s parking last week. So something is afoot. If I were I your position, I’d go down to the parking service in Wood Green Library.

Useful to know I ordered some day passes online over two weeks ago and still not arrived and they are needed for next week!

Thanks Hugh. I didn't know that was possible. Yes, I will try that! Sally

Is Wood Green library open for parking permits? It's not showing up on the website as an option.

Getting permits after moving house seems to be a very slow process.
