A freight train has derailed at Walthamstow Queens Road.
The view on Rail UK Forums is that the line has been damaged for over two miles, which is probably why they've reported it at Leyton Midland Road.
Looks like London Overground have got their act together quickly and are running Gospel Oak-South Tottenham, with severe delays.
... Find another way to get to North East London (Victoria Line to Walthamstow for a bus onward is being offered - obviously Blackhorse Road is covered by the Vic too)
No photos yet for those so inclined, but I'm sure one will appear pretty soon.

Oh dear. My wife said she had had to go into town and back out to get to work this morning.
Do we know if those affected will get a refund on the additional cost (as they now have to go via zone one etc)?
With ticket acceptance in place I'd be highly surprised if they didn't refund - you might have to apply for it though.
Right, thanks, any clue as to how to go about that- never having done it before?
The card (oyster/contactless) used will need to be registered at oyster.tfl.gov.uk - then a service delay refund applied for. They'll probably refund the full amount as I imagine it'll have added 15+ minutes to your wife's journey.

"We do not know the cause of the derailment yet but extensive damage has been caused to the track which will take several days to repair."
Hoo boy. That's dramatic.
Very lucky if the derailment was in progress as the train travelled over Leyton viaduct that this isn't rather more serious.
National Rail now saying close of service Monday...
Ah, didn’t know that - worth noting Justin.
Although if Justin’s wife was trying to get to work in the immediate aftermath its probably not beyond the realms that it was a 30+ minute delay.
She tried to call TFL this morning and got bounced around some AI driven hell that ditched her both times, I will try the Oyster line alter to see who they point me to.
I notice the email I got yesterday about the issue did not have a help line number for those affected to call. I can only imagine they don't want callers!
Barking - South Tottenham railway likely closed until Monday 10th February at least.
Statement on the National Rail site. "There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least Monday 10 February." Posted Friday 0354. Link to full page here.
South Tottenham - Gospel Oak likely to be a service running every 30 minutes (with interruptions for engineering work), as yesterday.
Mind you, the Redhill - Tonbridge line is closed until the end of March (from just before Christmas) following an embankment collapse.
