I'm on holiday and just wanted to check if the polling cards have been sent out yet?
Thanks,
Hannah

Nothing yet Hannah
If you know that you’re on the register, it shouldn’t make any difference: it’s not required for voting.
She might want to know which polling station to go to ?
Anyone who doesn't get a card should be able find out their polling station easily. Nearer the time, the Electoral Commission will have a postcode search facility on their website.
If for peace of mind you need to know now, there's a list of Haringey polling stations at https://voting.haringey.gov.uk/polling-stations/polling-stations-list/.
Harringay Ward has four. Yours is probably the one nearest to you, but it's not always that straightforward if you live mid-Ladder. If you haven't voted before in Harringay, one of your neighbours will have done.
The list also includes four stations each for both St Ann's and Seven Sisters wards.
BTW, the voter registration deadline is Nov 26. So I assume cards will go out after that.
Our polling cards hit the doormat two minutes ago, on Umfreville (polling district HA4).
No good reason - purely down to tradition
Majority worldwide is Sunday [Wikipedia link]. The Sabbath/Day of Rest may be why weekends have historically been avoided here (e.g. is casting one's vote 'work') but plenty of other faith-respecting countries seem to manage.
I don't know why more people don't get postal votes. I did when I was working 9am to 9pm and have kept doing so, you don't need a reason. I quite like the ritual of going to the polling station, you can still do this to bring your vote in by hand.
