Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone have any intel on the Harringay Festival on Green Lanes in Sept (19th?). I am sure I have heard about this from a couple of sources and I have not seen anything about it for some time. Is it going ahead? My wife things I have been smoking something and am making the whole thing up...

Unfortunately it's got very little to do with residents thanks to the GLSG (council) and the Traders Association.

This could have been a massive bridge builder between the traders and residents yet the residents as a whole have been ignored. We can mutually benefit each other but as most of the traders live no where near Harringay, why should they care what we think or want.

I'm quietly cheesed off about the whole thing and hope Arsenal get a home game that Sunday.
Still going ahead, Justin. Here's the latest. As Steve says, the emphasis has been swung to the traders somewhat, which may mean it's more of a Green Lanes affair that a truly Harringay one - not to say it won't be good in its own way, just not what some of us had envisaged.
Ok, thanks guys- Had a quick look at the link from Hugh. To be honest, if they close Green Lanes down to traffic what ever happens will be great. Lets see, shame there is not much more info about it as I have loads of people really intersted.
There are three resident reps on the site from the Festival committee - for the Ladder Adam; for the gardens Andy and for Woodlands Park Geoff. Alternatively you can check with Dasos Maliotis, the Haringey Council Officer coordinating

Might be worth linking in with one of them.
