Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

...in 1963

This is all the info I have, taken off a Stones fan site

IT WAS 56 YEARS AGO TODAY! Feb. 14, 1963: Manor House Pub, Harringay Jazz Club, London, England.

Can anyone add any more?

... ' Harringay Jazz Club' ... some smart person needs to open a new venue with that name 'cause jazz is rocketing in London :)
I've never heard of The Rolling Stones playing The Downbeat which was above the pub but they did a gig at South Tottenham, it was an all night gig in a cinema at Wards Corner. The club name I cant think of at the moment but many sixties bands gigged there.

Just remembered the name of the cinema in South Tottenham that turned into a all night music venue. It was called “The Noriek Club”

Thanks Victor. Just did a google and came up with this, although it's called the Noriek Club http://jackthatcatwasclean.blogspot.com/2007/09/london-club-noreik-...

and video on youtube with footage of the club. Also the hairdressers was on the high rd

and from the youtube comments "Thanks for posting, this took me back a bit, I saw the Rolling Stones at the Noriek in the 60's, before their first LP came out, and a few years later saw Muddy Waters there."
