Big gas leak?
Just drove up Green lanes between Sainsbury’s and Manor House and encountered a very strong smell of gas. Have reported and apparently lots of others have too. In the meantime maybe don’t go for a walk in the area!

TfL still showing diversions to 29, 141 and 341 due to the road closure between Endymion and Manor House as at 6:45am Monday.

Road was open at 1300 to traffic inc. buses but with single-alternate-lane traffic lights so progress is slow.

My female lodger, aged 20 and new to the area, was also told by the police (quite brusquely) to walk through the park in the dark at 1 a.m., with no idea where it would take her - luckily a couple of other people turned up and they were able to negotiate the way together. Given what has happened there in the past, I think this was quite extraordinary advice - they should have had at the very least someone posted inside the park to ensure safety,or preferably a car.
