Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Can anyone recommend a gas engineer/ boiler repair person- or warn me about who to avoid?!

I second that - they used to be on Green Lanes (under the name of CG Gas). I've had two boilers from them over the years and they are always reasonably priced and quick to come out.

This guy is very good for repairing/servicing boilers (particularly Vailant). http://www.full-flame.co.uk/ He doesn't do replacements (although that does mean he's no incentive to write your boiler off and persuade you to get a new one).

I can recommend BBS Plumbing and Heating. Bernard is a really nice guy, very efficient and knowledgeable. The boiler he recommended and installed has performed well and needed no attention other than an annual service (3 years and counting). http://www.bbsplumbandheat.co.uk/
