This is getting a joke. Haringey clean it up and then a few days it’s back this time blocking the road. This has got worse since Haringey started charging for bulky rubbish. Maybe it’s time they think again and install cameras in these dark areas which surely is cheaper than cleaning it up every few days.

Hi Peter, I reported it via app but found it very difficult to complete. I don’t know who it is but you are right it appears to appear every few days so maybe it is the same people. This is a dark spot so maybe Haringey should put cameras. I am upset with Haringey because every time I report they do nothing. A bike was left attached to a lamp post half missing was reported to them and still there 6 months later. I also find that since charging we get more old beds furniture white goods constantly dumped in my street. Haringey should revert back to free collections as surely this is costing them more.
I had the same thing with a bike. I actually couldn't report it via the app because the app couldn't decide if it was on public highway or estate. Then I managed to report it by slightly changing the pin on the map but still no one took responsibility. The Twitter comms people told me to ring x number. I felt like no, I've reported it, do something about it!
I’ve rang and rang about the bike yet 6 Months it still there. Haringey are useless. Haringey won’t allow me to post on their twitter cos I kept posting the photos of the rubbish that keeps being dumped and they don’t want people to see it
Seems to me this was dangerous as the street was blocked for emergency services. So can I also suggest that - if you haven't already done so - it's worthwhile to email the three ward councillors. Not all of them may be members of Harringay Online.
Contact details for West Green councillors are here:

To report dumping to Haringey Council and Veolia, people also have the option of using the free website Fix My Street - https://www.fixmystreet.com/.
Ive also reported and will contact the ward too. Just hope these villains will be caught and repremanded as its an absolute disgrace.
intried for 3 hours yesterday to phone Haringey as the road was blocked and it was constantly engaged so did get through. Veolia claim that large dumped rubbish and the bike I reported comes under Haringey not them
I'm posting this at 12:25 on Friday.
Nick, has there been no clearance yet in Langham Place?
Pessimism about what ward councillors can do is understandable. Especially when people are newly elected and haven't yet found their way round Haringey's often dysfunctional and hollowed-out systems.
But, in my view at least, the pile of rubble completely blocking a road in these photos makes it far more serious than usual.
When apps & other online systems work, fine. When they don't, everyone needs to remember that the 'f' in 'channel shift' is silent. Humans with judgement are needed.
I believe it’s now been cleared but the road still closed. Let’s hope that something is done quick as this is the second dumping there in 2 weeks.
I was told by Veolia that normal household rubbish dumped is Veolia but industrial rubbish such as those dumped here is Haringey Council. They also told me that the dumped bike comes under Haringey. What they do if you ring Veolia is say they will email Haringey. Firstly Haringey need to make clear who is responsible for what. Secondly they need to withdraw the cost of normal bulky items, and thirdly they need to install cameras in dark isolated areas like the one above.
Completely agree. I think there is going to be a good turn out for the Sept meeting so we can discuss this properly and start making changes.
Dear All
Thank you posting and for the ideas, suggestions an comments. I will forward the page/link to the Enforcement Service and also to Customer Services who manage the phones. Waiting 3 hours is extraordinary so I think this must be raised. I visited the contact centre where the phones are answered the other day. Waiting times are recorded so I can ask them to check and explain what happened. I can post the answer when I get it. I will also ask the officers to confirm if the information you have been given is accurate since the demarcation of responsibilities is n't very helpful when trying to get rubbish and flytipping cleared. I do think dumping hotspots like these must be dealt with especially with professional flytippers around who know all the good locations for dumping. Cameras seem the obvious answer - that all comes down to money.

Dear Zena, thank you for replying.... I called both the 02084890000 and the 02084891000. Both lines were engaged tone..never even got through to the recorded message. Time of first call was 11.30, then 13.18, then 13.36 then 14.35. Never got through at all so don’t know what will show on their system as the line was engaged . As far as the money issue surely the cost of clearing it up outweighs the cost of cameras. A few years ago this problem occurred in Ivatt way. The cameras installed were dummy but very visible and this in itself deterred fly typing there. Maybe they can do the same a cheaper option.
Thanks for help
