Hello Andrew. I don’t disagree with your points about cars but this topic is about the scheme bikes being left on the pavement causing a nuisance. It’s not a bikes vs cars conversation. Perhaps you can start a new thread to moan about cars?

...and this is what has happened when Ofo, Mobike and the other bike schemes got started in China

The problem with dockless bikes is that they 'fall' over, particularly after the pubs close. They have GPs trackers so hopefully they can be redistributed if a glut occurs in any one location. Anyone know if they need consent for their 'authorised bike parking areas'?

There are two partially stripped bikes which have been locked to the railings at the bottom of Umfreville for a couple of years now - the council seems incapable/unwilling to come and remove them so they just stay there.

Reported now, with indication of how long they've been there and that they're locked in place.

I emailed Veolia - enquiries.haringey@veolia.com (don't have the app), treating it as dumped rubbish.

You may see that they belong to a company called Mobike. You could contact them to let them know they've tipped over. I have. You may have some more success than requesting a rubbish contractor to come and clear them up, as they are clearly not litter.

OK I"ll do the same - maybe they'll take note this time.

I had a close look just now, having 'blanked' them for a long time assuming nothing was happening, and behold - each has a Haringey notice dated 12 Dec saying 'Remove your bike within 14 days or else'.

Email now received from Veolia confirming they/Haringey are actively on the case.

Are they putting those notices on the cars too or have we given up on getting that space back?
