They seem to be having a big push in London at the moment. One was on the verge of opening opposite John Lewis on Oxford Street the last time I passed that way.

I this we can safely say it is.

That and the fact that the "made with love" logo on the back wall is the exact same as on the Simit Sayari website.

We must not get the best news sources as I mentioned this to my colleague who is Turkish ancestry and she said all her mom has been talking about is this place opening.

Where on Green Lanes is this?

Next to Disney/Superdrug

Thanks for that Hugh.

There is also a new "Greek Bakery" called Agora at the bottom of Wightman Road, just down from the tyre place. The sandwiches and pastries all looked good. They have a bit outside so you can sit with a coffee while waiting for the pedestrian green phase on the current temporary traffic lights.

Competition for Yasar Halim bakery, good for us and them

I sampled Agora's wares yesterday. It was delicious. The borek (boureki?) is the best in the area, for my money - not tried the new place on Green Lanes yet, so I'll reserve judgment.

It's open today

Had coffee there yesterday, which was very good and the staff were pleasant. The loos were immaculate which I always take as a good sign. Took cakes home which we also enjoyed.
