Number 176 is a Homes for Haringey property containing four converted flats. Not clear how many of them were affected by the fire.

Hi Dick,

I heard from our emergency planning team this afternoon. The fire was confined to one flat and is being treated as a crime scene. The police have secured the site and I believe the forensic investigations are finished. I have not heard that there have been any casualties or injuries in the property.  The Council's housing team is involved.

Best wishes

Thanks Zena.

LFB: "House fire - Hornsey"

"Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a mid terraced house on Wightman Road in Hornsey.

Half of a three roomed flat on the ground floor was damaged by the fire. Two people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There are no reports of any injuries.

Control Officers took the first of eight calls at 2000 and mobilised crews from Holloway, Tottenham and Stoke Newington fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 2058.

The cause of the fire is under investigation."
