Uses for leftover oak wood?
I just installed a beautiful sold oak work surface in my kitchen: now I have several fairly large pieces of wood left over. About 3 or 4 pieces, roughly 2 feet square. Any ideas what I could do with them? I think they are too thick and heavy for shelves and not long enough. Is it worth selling them on Ebay? Advice gratefully received.

If you have an open fire in your house a few bits produce the the most wonderful smell. And they burn for ages. A bit of a Christmas treat.
