Unlikely that both Freeview and Freesat would be affected. Can you try with another TV set ?
Assume you have wiggled all the connectors ( normally pathetic French-design SCARTS ) in case of bad contact ? Is the Freeview tuner internal to the TV set or an external box ?
Is the scrambling where the picture breaks up into blocks ?
It is possible that a local taxi office could be using poor quality or faulty equipment, but your dish would have to be fairly close to affect it and your TV would only pixelate when their radios are busy, e.g. does it happen at 5 am on a Sunday, or is it constant on a Saturday night?. It could also a fault on the feedhorn in the middle of the dish, that is quite a common problem.
I often get this problem, sometimes my TV is simply not watchable for weeks on end (yes, tried retuning and doing all the twiddling). Then all of a sudden it comes good again. I do think that digital is very vulnerable to interference. Motorbikes going back interfere with it as do other vehicles. Bring back analogue….
I had your problem, Ruth, a couple of years back. It wasn't quite continuous but most days there was interference at some point. Then the problem disappeared and it hasn't returned at all. I never worked out the reason for it- this was West Green Road. I agree- too vulnerable to interference
