The latest on the transport study is that a list of options have been identified and there are to be a couple of workshops to whittle down these options to a short list which will then be put out for a public consultation next year.
There are two of these workshops, on the 1st and 3rd of December, but they are invitation only, with two invitees from the following list of community groups:
-GRA
-Garden Community Garden
-Hewitt Rd RA
-Woodlands Park RA
-Hermitage Rd RA
-Wightman Rd RA
-Living Wightman
-LCSP
-Hermitage Rd Neighbourhood Watch
-Friends of Harringay Passage, Fairland Park, Ducketts Common, Finsbury Park, Chestnuts Park
-Turkish Cypriot Community Association
-Harringay Online
The council don't sound terribly keen to add other groups to that list but say they might - contact Razak.Mahama@haringey.gov.uk
I've requested they let us know the list of identified options before hand and will post back here if they do.
How come GRA and Garden Community Garden both get an invite? Aren't they the same people?
I understand that the traders have written a substantial document rebuffing the Living Wightman document. Can we all check through our bank statements for the past year, find out how much money we spend on Green Lanes, and wave that under their noses?
If you weren't driving to/from Green Lanes when you spent that money then it doesn't count.
It's not a restrictive menu of options, Ant, so much as a summary of the feedback from the online consultation. Solutions may be drawn from here or informed by it, but they're not restricted by it.
What gives you that impression? The email I had (and presumably you also?) was reasonably clear about whittling down a list of options to a short list, and when I asked what the list of options were I was told (less than an hour ago) - "The consultants are in the process of producing the list of options which we aim to circulate once it is ready.".
I asked again and the council have reiterated - the options for discussion and shortlisting at the workshops are the options identified by the consultants.
Sounds like we're talking to different people then. Here's what I was told:
The Round 1 Community Engagement feedback as you are aware contained both issues and some suggested solutions. The consultants duty is to identify solutions to help address these issues in a holistic and strategic manner and wouldn’t be limited to the suggested solutions from the consultation some of which may not be feasible.
It has to be said I didn't ask specifically about the workshops. I asked the question about the more general issue. But if you want to submit a suggestion at the workshop that wasn't in the "Round 1 Community Engagement feedback". who's to stop you?

So - scrap parking on green lanes, keep wightman road open, and keep the gardens bollards would seem to be the big ticket numbers in there
That's my take on it - what do others read from that lot?
I read into it similar, however, on closer inspection there I don't think it's quite as clear, for example.
Keep Wightman Road filtered as it was during the bridge replacement - 39
Add bollards to ladder streets/make residents and local traffic only - 25
There are a large number of respondents who wish for some kind of change around Wightman (in fact most of the rest of the responses in the Wightman section refer to some kind of change). Also I'm interested in how the following would be referred to in the report.
I would like to keep Wightman Road open, but believe that the amount of traffic should be limited in some way.
As it could be added as a tick to both, however the respondents view isn't necessary to keep Wightman Road open in it's current form, but taking just the big ticket items from the report would make it seem this way.
However the other two points, I would agree that you have the write read on.
Scrapping of parking on Green Lanes (P-1 and PT-1 both refer to this) has the largest number of respondents.
With the gardens, it looks like the bollards are referred to favourably. Again per my comment on Wightman it would be interested how these points are correlated across respondents.
Keep bollards on Garden roads/ consider permanent closure - 53
Introduce further traffic calming on the Gardens roads - 22
Gardens Roads bollard system should be seen as traffic calming best practice and rolled out further - 17
I did find it interesting that such a large number didn't like the bollards.
Bollards are costly and open to abuse - 21
I'll certainly be interested in the what options come out of the meeting. Hopefully they'll be able to find a solution that (in general) keeps everyone happy and implements traffic reduction.
Everyone happy... ha ha ha. Nope.
