Hi all,
We have been informed by Thames Water that our property has a leak on the supply pipe that carries water from the water main to our property.
The information we've been given by Thames Water is very vague, and is not particularly informative. The 'You've got a leak' booklet they issued to us, which we need to read and agree to before consenting to the leak repair work, is missing essential pages.
I am struggling to get Thames Water to issue me with a booklet with the missing pages, so I was wondering if anyone has a complete 'You've got a leak' booklet from Thames Water? If so, would you be prepared to scan it and upload a copy to this thread?
The front page of the 'You've got a leak' booklet looks like the attached photo.
Thanks all,
Kind regards,
Katherine

Hey Katherine,
If no one gets there before me, I can scan and upload my copy of the booklet this evening.
I had a mains leak recently and, overall, Thames Water were brilliant. I was looking at a bill of £1,850 to get the leak fixed (the house side of the mains is the property owner's responsibility), but they did it for free.
I'll check back later to see if anyone else beats me to the upload.
Best of luck,
d.
Agree, leak found a year ago, Thames Water did everything on time and for free (they have a leak reduction target to meet.....). Communication was good too.
Hi Gordon,
Thank you so much for your feedback about your experience with Thames Water fixing your leak. It puts my mind at ease.
Have a great day. :)
Katherine
Hi Dar,
Thank you so very much! You just made my day by uploading all the pages of your booklet, all methodically numbered, with Parts 1/3, 2/3 etc... They are so perfectly scanned as well. Thames Water wouldn't/couldn't email me a digital copy, and it's not available online.
I have been trying for weeks and weeks to source the complete booklet, with no luck at all until now. I thought I'd try my chances on Harringay online...I'm so glad I did!
Thank you also for telling me about your good experience with Thames Water in having your leak fixed.
Now I can finally move forward and arrange to have our leak fixed.
Thanks again, and have a great day!
Katherine
Glad to help. And I hope your pipe repair is plain sailing from here on.
Take care,
d.
Hi DarB. This is very useful.
Do you remember if you had a plumber investigate and find the source of the leak, which you then reported to Thames Water?
Or did you call Thames Water to find and to fix the leak - and was it their leakage targets that made them so willing to help..?
thanks, Kit
Can't seem to see the exact booklet you've provided a picture of, but there is this one online.
Hi Hugh,
Thank you so much for the link to the booklet online. The booklet you sent the link to does have very helpful info in it, although it's not specifically relating to Thames Water finding and notifying us of a leak. Still super helpful though!
Thanks again Hugh.
Katherine
Hi Katherine,
Here are all the pages in the leaflet. I omitted page 8 as it only contained an image.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
d.
