Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I overheard someone say no-one was injured. The tow truck arrived as I was leaving so likely re-opened now.

How can a car turn on its side like that in a slow-zone with warning signs, speed-humps and no signs of other impact?.

That is exactly what I thought???

It was tipped over by a group of militant cyclists.

No, it grazed my walking stick slightly as I gave way to an out-of-control mum with a Bugaboo Buffalo double-decker and smart phone on the footway. Only so much an old guy should be expected to put up with on his Sunday afternoon stroll.

Next time you're in a top heavy SUV at a junction, turn left at full speed, see how the vehicle handles.......

That looks like a Golf though, and you wouldn't expect to be going full speed there.

If it's where I think it is (just before Florence Rd on left), there is a garage immediately on the right - perhaps was turning into that at high speed. Really bizarre. But glad nobody hurt.

It hit something - look carefully at the nearside front wing, it's been flattened. An oblique impact could cause the car to spin, then roll.

Spot on Gordon

Cars are surprisingly unstable. One came shooting out of the garage that used to be at the top of Hampden, overcorrected, clipped the kerb  and flipped outside the Greek church.

I think in this case, the driver had stolen it from the garage  forecourt while the owner went to pay for petrol, hence his hurry

Beresford Road.
