Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Roofer for a flat roof
I realise there's quite a few discussions on this one, and I've looked through them and am none the wiser, really. Does anyone know a roofer that's good with flat roofs? I tried Horncastle's, as they seem like the best bet, but they're closing for 2 weeks for their summer holiday, back on August 6th, no appointments befor then! Compton's seems rude (according to Bob's post), and I do not want them in my house. Anyone else..?

We just had to have a leaking flat roof repaired and skylight replaced. To be honest it was a nightmare. We had about six companies quote and all six told us different things and gave us different quotes. It's so frustrating and confusing as you don't know who to trust - some of them had to be lying to us about regulations as they were contradicting each other.
In the end we went with these guys http://www.birdandwedge.com/. They weren't the cheapest, but work comes with a 10 year guarantee which we wanted in-light of the conflicting information we were given.
When you get work done make sure they put dust sheets down if they're moving materials through your house. Also make sure they do a site visit and get written, detailed quotes.
