Road works on Wightman Road

After a brief power cut two nights ago, the fault has been traced to a burned out 11,000 volt cable close to the sub-station where the New River Path emerges opposite Allison Road.  Tonight (Wednesday 18th) there is a temporary traffic light at this point while the road is being dug up.  It is hard to believe that everything will be back to normal by daybreak so look out for long delays in the morning.
