Our lights are dim as well. I've just called UK Power. Two faults in area, engineers working on them this evening, no time estimate yet for completion.

Yes things seems worse than yesterday now. That's 4 days without my washing machine working! aggghhhhh. The guy on the phone just now told me they expect it to be fixed tonight... let's see

Yes still dim here as well. They are so useless. Unbelievable. Can we complain to our electricity suppliers or council?

No you reply direct to them. This is essentially a powercut for 4 days now so they should give similar levels of compensation. I have no idea how I am going to wash my family's clothes as my washing machine wont work under low voltage!

I've just had an update from UK power who say specialist team of engineers started working on the problem 45 mins ago and it's likely to take all night. That's another night without central heating as our boiler won't work on low voltage.

Seems like they keep working on it on and off because it was meant to be fixed this morning. So what did they do all day?

I am just about to go through my operation manual for the new boiler but I think  I have the same issue as you (Pemberton)...

Power just went in some houses on Warham. Waiting for a call back from the power company
Power out now on Seymour Road, in the same houses that were affected on Monday night.
We're ok (are on Seymour and lost power on Monday). Hope it gets fixed soon!

We're not, Alison! Have had dim lights ever since last week's power cut. I'll call that number too later.

UK Power Net say the Mattison Road substation has blown a fuse, estimated fix time unknown but for this type of power cut 3 hours...

Anyone affected should call UK Power Net on 03332 022 022, I get the impression they don't really know how many people are affected by these things so the more people report it the more effort they put into fixing. They'll also offer to send texts to update on progress.

Meanwhile I'm tucking into the Haagen Dazs, the freezer's off and it'd be a shame to let it spoil...
