Get some lion poo from Longleat & put it in your garden. The smell will deter the small cats!

I had always assumed this solution was a myth.
I'm guessing longleat do not have an online lion poo wing in reality.
Has anyone ever actually tried this?
I'm also not sure replacing small turds with huge ones is the way to ho

I also have this unpleasant situation. I always chase any cats away whenever I see them, so much so that they now seem to know to avoid our patch but only when we're in and not asleep in bed - they're incredibly knowing, intelligent and defiant. I've come to the conclusion that the only solution would be to get our own (very fierce) cat or keep a dog. Ironically I adore cats and we had one for many years until she died aged 17 but we decided not to take on responsibility for another (I don't believe anyone can truly own such independent animals) as we were so happy to be free of the fleas, moulting fur, vet's bills etc.

We also have local cats "visiting" our garden but what upsets us significantly more is someone's dog who's taken on pooing in front of our front door! Seriously! We find a huge "present" every single week and it seriously feels as if we are being bullied. I dont understand what tramp would allow his/her dog to do something like that, to the point that we sometimes wonder if its deliberate, but we have no enemies in the area as far as we know!

I have no idea what to do..

Milda, I just came across your post.  I know how you must be feeling because I've been experiencing exactly the same thing since early summer.  It's absolutely disgusting!  I have no idea what to do either but since it happened again this morning I've decided to start with HOL and that's how I found you.   Do you still get your front garden soiled or has it stopped now?   Can we chat off line?   I'll send you a member invite.  Thanks

I read that you can bury balloons in the area where they poo, then when the urge takes them they will get a fright as they will pop the balloon. I read this in the daily telegraph from a vet in case anyone is concerned for the cats!

Spray Away has worked really well in a friends garden apart from the odd occasion when she forgets to turn it off and gets a soaking. I've used citrus peel and spiky clippings from roses and so on in the main toilet areas and had some success.
