Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

ON Wightman Road, at the intersection with Railway Approach N4, a water leak has been going on continuously at least for several days.

It spills onto the carriageway but mainly over the light-controlled pedestrian crossing.

As well as a hazard, it is a continuing waste of water.

But does Thames Water Limited* care?

This afternoon I spotted a woman taking photos of the leak and asked if she was reporting it to the council.

She claimed that it has been going on for weeks and that she has already contacted Thames Water. She also claimed that Thames Water told her there was nothing they could do, because of the traffic

(N.B. the Highwaymen and other actors at the council have always wanted to maintain this as a B-through road).

The woman said she was now going to complain to The Regulator. As most know, Ofwat is toothless, hopeless and useless and has been content to be toothless for decades.

Is this "enterprise" not years overdue for re-nationalisation?

*I note that Companies House records this enterprise as having had 167 Officers and 165 Resignations, leaving a current balance of two.
