There are a couple of pairs of coots nesting in the Wightman NR stretch that I keep looking for every time I go past in the hope that their nests have not been dislodged and ultimately found themselves in the jaws of the metal screen near the Wightman end. I hope they can get their chicks hatched and reared in time before this does ultimately happen!
