Let the Wightman Bridge Games Commence
I went for a run this morning, and commented to my running partner that the bridge works were due to begin today (no sign of any activity).
On the way back 45 mins later a gang of workmen were setting up barriers, traffic lights, crossing lights etc.
So, this is it folks, let the games begin. 6 months of Joy!

Thanks for the info Gordon. I've been meaning to go up to the junction for a reccy but saw the traffic queue and went home instead!

Its already a nightmare. Cars backed up and honking horns from 6am every morning this week since the lights went up. Really not ideal

Well where you are you'll probably be better off when the bridge closes altogether. You'll just to have to grin and bear it for the next couple of weeks...and maybe buy some ear plugs!

Sorry if this has been covered before, but if you're on Allison Road, how the bugger are you supposed to go south?
The closures look like the only escape is down Hewitt, where you can't turn right.
Are people just supposed to chuck a U turn on Green Lanes?!

The no right turn will be suspended for the duration of the closure. It's so marked on the display board.
