We have just had them done on Pemberton.

I appreciate the lights is not as 'soft' as the old sodium lights but actually I do not mind it. I have one right outside my bedroom window and it actually seems that it is darker n there because the light is angled at the road (where needed) and not radiated out willy nilly as the old lights were...

I agree. We have one outside our bedroom window too, and it does seem less bright now.

The lights were done on Allison on Sunday (I didn't notice them being done, but it was deffo an orange glow on Saturday night, then a white light on Sunday!).

I think they are better than the orange glow and appreciate the more focused direction mentioned below, but they are so harsh and bright - it's a residential street, and now it's lit up like a football stadium.

Now on Umfreville, first two lights nearest Green Lanes only, on Tue 27 Oct. A bit 'film set', but less shadowy than the previous ones.
