Hi there,
I'm new to Harringay Online and hope this will get picked up by a few people especially those who are lacking confidence in how to swim.
I found a recent post by Andy who has started offering swimming lessons just off Green Lanes to adults and children at a really nice private pool. I'm not very confident in swimming and as Spring has finally bloomed and Summer is around the corner, I want to be getting my bathing suit out without worrying about drowning. So I called Andy up and went along to a session last Sunday and I thought it was great and it really helped me get started. It's also great to meet other people in the same position and bond over mutual things that scare us silly about water. I am now planning to go every Sunday for half an hour.
It's very relaxed, small groups of 6 or less and cheap.
Here's a re-post of a section of what Andy posted -
There are places still available for all classes, which follow the National Plan for Teaching Swimming at this Amateur Swimming Association Approved swim school. Whether as a child wishing to learn to swim or an adult, class sizes are small with a maximum of 6 per class and are aimed at individual ability.
Please contact me if you would like to come and attend a free 'Come and Try' session.
For further information about swimming courses with Just Swim, contact Andy Staite on 07854157366.
Hope this is of use to anyone who wants to get swimming!
Thanks
Taslima
