Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing it too.

I took part in one of the workshops and one thing which surprised me was that I was the only person in the group who had lived in Harringay before HoL was founded. There were some other interesting things that cropped up as well.

"I think this site works well because people tend not to take too many swings at their neighbours or take them to task for their perceived shortcomings."

Absolutely, Liz.  I live overseas and we have a neighbourhood discussion forum that thrives on people-bashing.  A subject may start in a civilized way but it rapidly degenerates into an exchange of scorn and contempt.  The original subject is lost and what has the potential to be a useful resource becomes just a depressing read.

I don't find HOL members at all whingeing.  Of course there are complaints, but a complaint must be made before a solution can be found and it is good to know others share your concerns.  The site is full of diverse views and optimistic practical suggestions for solving community problems.

59% but way overestimated owner occupation

Yes I did too because I think I was assuming that there were still a lot of older people in the community who own their homes - I had quite a few of my older neighbours in mind, but I wonder if as we lose that community their houses are, in fact, being snapped up by landlords and not, as we are constantly told, families and the guardian reading middle classes priced out of the West.

64% for Tottenham Green. I overestimated our owner occupiers, underestimated our Muslims, and was within single figures of everything else.

67% (Alexandra Ward) - not too bad (overestimated owner occupation and Muslims, but otherwise pretty close) - Gutted 2nd place so far! 68% seems to the best.

I underestimated Christians quite a bit. Probably because the census only asks for religious beliefs rather than practice. I think many people see themselves as of Christian heritage, but are not in the the least 'practising'. If that were not the case, at 49% we would need quite a few more churches!

I did it for Hornsey N8 where i have lived my whole life (60+ years) and was gutted to get it so wrong (only 30%).

I was near on under 16s, owner occupiers; not too far out on median age. gets worse for Christian (under estimated) and Muslim (over estimated). Way out for those with a degree - i guessed 12% when it is claimed to be over 50% - and those without a car - i thought 11% on account of the amount of parking in area; but no it is almost 50% apparently. So where do all the cars come from? And who are all these clever people - must be the youngsters!
