"On Monday 3rd July come to the march starting at 5.30 at Ducketts Common, March from 6pm along wood Green High road., and rally at Wood Green Civic Centre at 6.30."

This is an excellent article. I will also be on the march this evening and encourage others to join.

A fantastic article..

It is extraordinary that opposition needs to be crowd funded...
Doubltless the council will have access to legal / consultant services whicg are paid for from public funds.

Has anything been said by Labour at a national level or has the Mayor's office offered a view ?

What we are seeing here is a further move against what I have seen described as " the long term unimportant," victims of social problems which have been embedded for over 20 years, but which are expected to be solved within the 5 year political merry go round which is in place. Tenants here are collateral damage, pure and simple.
36? Really that high? Are theremany tower blocks that big in London?
Ok so to put the size of 36 in context the Gerkin is 41 and Canary Wharf 50!!

Meh, at the end of summer Momentum The Labour Party will be holding selection meetings for next year's local body elections. Unlike last time I expect them to be well attended and full of people chomping at the bit to deselect every-mother-XXXing-last-one of the councillors who supported this. No way is there going to be any waiting or pausing.

Do you realise how much traffic congestion you caused by marching up Wood Green High Road in the evening rush hour? Many people in cars and buses had their evening ruined because they were stuck behind you for ages and were late for meetings.

This HDV from the council is an excellent plan to create thousands of new jobs and homes. It should have been done long ago. Instead most of the prime land has laid empty for decades while the Labour council dithered on what to do. I'd like to speak to the protesters when this project is finished and ask them if they still opposed it. When confronted with the reality of the finished product, I think they will humbled.

They'll be humbled - right out of the borough.
