Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

So 2am this morning I was woken by a council recycling truck humping down our street back to Mary Neuner Rd. I still can't find out who is responsible for recycling but it is definitely someone in the council.

I have been woken all but one morning this week by an absolute speed demon in a smallish truck at around 5am. I estimate that he is doing about 50mph by the time he gets to my hump. It must be great fun. This morning I set my alarm for 5am to get his rego (yeah he's going so fast even I can't see it clearly). He woke me up at 450 and was travelling so fast I don't think I could have seen it even if I had already been awake.

Is it just me getting woken up by this?

7:10am we had a skip truck (BX54 ZTM, not liveried and not O'Donovans - yes I have them on speed dial).

I am tempted to take my car down to the bottom of the street and leave it with the hazard lights on all night blocking the road. Good luck Raleigh Rd, I'll be thinking of you.

Yup, he is Anne Cunningham's boss I believe (she is real, I've spoken to her).

They are being VERY cagey about giving me the info and I have to bloody work tomorrow so no chasing one around to Mary Neuner Rd and asking the driver who his boss is (which is what worked for the vehicle confiscation lorries).
John, I've just spoken to the Recycling people and they told me what I already know; their operations are betw 6am & 2pm only. I think you mean an Enterprise rubbish truck. Enterprise are the private company that do this borough's rubbish collections. Their trucks also zip up Falkland around midnight some nights, so fast that I swear houses almost swap places they shake so much.

If you are sure you are dealing with a Haringey Recycling truck ring ph 88896618 and ask for either Harry Sashwell or Stelaki Vachos who look after Operations. They have trackers on their vehicles.

If you actually think it's an Enterprise truck you can ring their boss Gary Tyler on mb. 07984 979309. Explain your problem and then ask for his email address.

Let us all know how you get on.
Yes - the house does shake on Falkland - it actually shakes not only with the closest one but with the two speed bumps either side as well. I've never been up enough to check out of the window but Matt, if you know it's Enterprise, I'll be giving them a call the next time it happens. Thanks
Yep Warham Road too, my house judders and shakes as they crash every speed bump at high speed, even when they go over the ones at the other end of the street. They go so fast that even when I have a camera handy and waiting I  can't gat a shot in.
I'd also alert SNT to this, and see if they can be on the lookout for this speed demon around that time, they might be able to catch him.

I finally, after many tries (my superpowers do not work well in the two hours before I wake up) got the company name and registration. The small truck was from Allan Reeder Dairies. Once I got the registration I gave them a call and haven't seen them back since.

Lorry bothering you? Get the livery details (company name on the side) and whatever you can of the registration number. Call them up, they don't want no trouble.

Honestly, registration number - 7 characters, letters + numbers. To be seen in a split second and memorised instantly. PIN number for bank card, to be studied for hours and changed to suit something you already know if you want, 4 digits. Anyone who thinks that a registration plate on a car stops it misbehaving is kidding themselves.

My truck from Allan Reeder Dairies was back this morning. It woke me up half an hour before my alarm is scheduled to go off. I'll call them again but he's not so obviously speeding anymore and is under the 7.5t limit.
Well done JOhn!
No... that really worked? I have saved up some cash for when they resurface the street to bribe the hump installers... You mean I'd just need to buy some paint stripper? Where has this been done?

Larnaca beach front John . Just ask the guy opposite. Tee hee.

Off to kindle...laters

My Allen Reeder Dairies lorry woke me up at 5:15 this morning again. I've rung them a third time and they're going to speak to the driver again. 3rd time lucky hopefully but... Is this bothering anybody else on Lausanne Rd, i.e. Is it waking you up?

Yes
