Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Have received my first summons to the sorting office at Tufnell Park Holloway . Has anyone found a short cut from Upper Holloway station or any of the streets to the south of the industrial estate? Not relishing the thought of long walk with toddler / four bus return journey / going via Kings Cross on the Northern Line.  GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Is there no option to redeliver? If you can wait.

Yes there is, though having had a look at the slip I think what I might do is get it delivered to the post office. Much better option!

There's a discussion here about ways to go in person to the collection office. Clive has already given it a go.

Thanks Liz. I am really hoping I never have to do this and the post office pick up will work for me...

I had a non delivery too this week ( but could have fited through the letter box really)
Anyway
I called up and ranted at them requesting I want it delivered free to the local post office and insisted that I am not paying some £4-5 in bus and train fares to pick up my parcel. The lady who answering the phone passed me over to the manager ( think she's getting used to the complaints). The Manager was very polite and you could tell he was biting his lip.
I instated that they can always deliver to any neighbour either side. I infomed him i was very angry about this situation, and many locals are against the relocation and what about our pensioners. He informed me the number of complaints have gone through the roof, I insisted that he should take my call as a complaint for a a terrible service and I was not prepared to travel that distance to get my goods at my cost, I also pointed out that to save the PO money via staff time and the environment ie fuel etc , ALL failed parcels delivered in the N4 N8 areas which were served by the Arena Sorting Office should be delivered to the local Post office on Green Lanes FREE OF CHARGE so locals can just pick them up. He thought this was a really good idea and said he was going to look into it. If you do call up far a redelivery make sure they take the call as a complaint for a crap service and insist it suggest the POST OFFICE on Green Lanes be the local drop off point FOR FREE.- I think this is so out of order ? We ended up agreeing on a redelvery to me / neighbour which I received the next day GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Andy
