Talking of potholes the council have just repaired some down our street - now obviously the problem with pot holes is you have to drive a bit more slowly and carefully through or around them. Well fixing this one isn't going to help one jot as some idiot's built a bleeding great hump in the road right beside where the pothole used to be so all the trasffic has to creep along anyway.

Love it. We must have a few pictures of Nilgun looking cross about dog poo or Brian deploring bad parking. OAE, any ideas?

Funny you should mention that, Liz. About two months ago I saw Nilgun attempting to walk her dog along Wightman Road, between Mattison and Duckett. The dog insisted on stopping to drop its load right in the middle of the 'pavement' outside No.88, while Nilgun shook her head in apparent glum disapproval. Alas, I don't usually carry a camera. I was on the point of yelling, 'Canver, why not let him do it outside No.3 Mattison?' but the good Councillor drew an orange plastic bag (?Sainsbury's) from about her person and stooped down to scoop up the steaming offering with practised expertise, before returning towards Mattison to, presumably, dispose of it legitimately. She may have become aware that WRN4RA have been on the lookout for extra-territorial phantom canine crappers befouling our pristine footways.

That is fabulous Elin.
I guess, thinking about it, it will be opposition councillors who will do the glum cllr look as a comment on the apparent failures of the incumbents to sort out problems.
Those who hold the majority will tend to put out jolly photos of themselves 'solving' problems.
