Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Future of the M&S site High Road?
I wonder what will become of the M&S site in the High Road?, split into units?, 99p shops?, a huge Turkish restaurant?. A bar selling decent beer would be nice, it would fill the gap between the Toll Gate, Spouters and the Westbury.

Even the ever-positive Tim Martin might jib at a third Wetherspoons in (or round the corner from) the High Road. But Wetherspoons are eight outlets short of a thousand pubs and hotels, and he likes big round figures.....

Oddly enough, in the meantime I have sent the details of the To-let sign to the Wetherspoons suggest-a-site. I also stated that all of the existing pubs get too full, but I'm sure WS will work out any viability from their turnover figures.

They might open a new one in the area, but it would be at the expense of an existing one. The Tollgate is quite small by their current standards, and Spouter's is an odd ball.
