Formal Opening of new recreational facilities on Duckett's Common
The new recreational facilities on Duckett's Common will be formally opened on Friday 8 June at 2:00pm.
The proceedings will take about 30 minutes including photos and of course anyone can go along.
The project has replaced three "worn out" basketball courts and provided facilities for a wider range of activities. Facilities include:
- 2 basketball courts with 6 hoops
- 1 casual football court with fittings for netball and markings for volleyball (regular football, netball and volleyball have to be booked in advance)
- A separate 14 piece Outdoor Gym
- 1 Table Tennis table
- 5 double cycle stands
The facilities will be open 24/7, free to use and floodlit dusk till 10:00pm.

Congratulations to all the local residents in the Friends of Ducketts Common!Their vision and hard work over the last 2 years or so has transformed the common!!
