Congratulations to @PYNHaringey, celebrating their first award of 2014!

Positive Youth News Haringey, a grassroots youth organisation who aim to "reclaim their reputations" from a media bent on portraying youth, and particularly Haringey youth, in the most negative light possible, are delighted to announce this morning that they are the winners of a VInspired Award for 2014.

The vInspired awards are designed to celebrate young people’s outstanding contribution to their communities through volunteering. PYNHaringey were nominated for their work in our community and have won the London regional finals.

All regional winners will now go through to the national finals and we will be invited to attend the vInspired National Awards ceremony in March 2014. It will be a star studded line up to celebrate their inspirational winners.

Overall national winners will be announced on the night at this ceremony. PYNHaringey will be competing against 8 other regional winners in the national finals from across the country. 

PYN team member Erika said, “We feel we have won this award for all young people in Haringey, if they did not achieve such positive things to make our borough proud, we would not have a project.”

We congratulate them for their well-deserved win and wish them luck for the national finals!
