Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Some time back I collected postage stamps for charity. I thought I would do it again given the time of year.

So, if anyone has any stamps they have collected over Christmas please let me know and I will take them from you and send them all off the RNIB who can raise money selling them. Any kind of stamp is fine, including normal 1st/2nd class stamps, but more valuable are commemorative and foreign stamps.

Simply remove the stamp from the envelope (tear it if you want) leaving a bit of the envelope around the stamp, and RNIB will do the rest.

hi Justin, I'll have a few. DM me on here for handing them over after New Year.

I have an elderly friend who has, for over 20 years, been sorting out used stamps for Oxfam, painstakingly sifting and checking catalogues etc. His work has raised thousands of £ for Oxfam so I can vouch for the usefulness of this activity.

My friend is now 91 and his eyesight failing so I am pleased to find a new place to hand over my stamps.

Perhaps we could get stamp banks set up in a few local bars and restaurants? Just a thought.

Ruth. Hi, hanks for taking time to respond to this. I hate seeing anything of value thrown away, so only glad to try to coordinate this. I will message you.

Thanks Justin. I hope that many more people getting into the habit of removing stamps- imagine the hundreds and hundreds we could have for charity!
