Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anybody know a Taylor or other shop that could fix a backpack strap?

The 'ladder lock buckle' was damaged and needs to be replaced.

I have a new buckle but our local Taylor says their machine is not heavy duty enough.

I need someone with a heavy duty sewing machine that can handle two thick pieces of webbing plus the strap padding.

It's a new pack, so I'd hate to have to chuck it.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Try Crouch End Shoe Repairs, 37 Broadway Parade, Tottenham Lane N8 9DB, 020 8340 6606. They used to go by the name Callis (recommendations on here), which is now a locksmith business.  The shopfront (Google StreetView, 2025) says they do luggage repairs.

Thanks Gordon. I'll check them out.

I was also coming here to suggest Callis. They did an absolutely incredible repair on a leather belt do they definitely have the heavy duty machines. I'm sure they could look at webbing too. They are a lovely highly skilled bunch!

Thanks KTwok.

Their website seems to only mention locksmiths - but hopefully they still to luggage repair.

They do shoe and bag repairs still, I went past last week and their set up looked the same. Give them a call, if they've changed what they do it's likely they will know someone who can help you. Good luck!

Great. Thanks again

I've done similar repairs myself using a Speedy Stitcher

No sewing ability required (I have none).

Thanks Andrew

Thanks Jenny.
