The Post Office is apparently still open for business nationally but has anyone had local deliveries this week?

I just got two letters delivered - one was a circular, the other a bank statement. No sign of the long-awaited Mother's Day card 9 - it's the first time my son has ever actually posted me one) nor the two DVDs which were posted to me this week.
I do understand the problem but I also wonder why/if they are not taking on relief staff. Is it something to do with not wanting to pay extra wages?
I've just heard that there are eight postmen currently covering the whole of N8 between them (I don't know how many there usually are, but the implication is that this represents a reduction). I assume that a similar situation exists for N4 and N15
Posted a Letter to my brother from N22 to N7
Was 1st Class , arrive PM next day
I have seen local post staff walking past with mail and Van collecting from local Post box
Expect its down to available Staff
I had post most days up to last Weds (25th), then nothing until yesterday when a couple of things came through. I'm just off St Ann's Road in N15.
There hasn't been any post delivered for a week or more, but it looks like pillar boxes are being attended to every day, so the assumption is that mail is going in to the system but, for N8 Harringay Ladder, it's not been going out. Hoping that despite the difficulties that Royal Mail staff are experiencing, for which we are sympathetic and understanding, there will be some post going out to Ladder houses very soon.
Since the government are now planning to send a letter to every household in the country about social distancing, perhaps they could step in to make sure these letters actually get delivered. Nothing that I know has been posted to me in the past ten days has shown up yet.
I'm on West Green Road....I'm getting regular mail.
Still problems with mail deliveries in Hornsey N8 area. After getting one item of mail yesterday today i got a parcel. i had a chat with my lovely postwoman. She said there are only a third of staff in at Tufnell Park sorting office with mail and parcels piling up. She thinks mail will be delivered tomorrow. She said mail would get more priorty if people ordered less stuff online. I said it would help if Royal Mail updated their website to refllect what is happening. She said most people seem to prefer priorty be given to parcels rather than mail. I said i was awaiting various NHS and hospital letters so mail is my priority but i understand. She apologised. I said none of this is her fault and we appreciate the work she is doing. Without any safety gear. she is wearing woolly gloves and steps back from door after knocking.
We got a bit today on Warham, all of it 7-10 days old. Saw the postie - she looked absolutely knackered - and I told her how much I appreciated her work.
Let’s be kind when we see them. They’re trying their best, with a lot of their colleagues not around. It must be a really worrying time for them too.
I got one letter today - a 'to the occupier' from Haringey council. I'm beginning to wonder if the four things posted to me more than two weeks ago will every arrive. They are technically 'parcels' but would all fit through the letterbox, so I wonder if they've joined the never-never pile. One is supposedly 'tracked', but there's no information available.
