RD replied to Eden's discussion Off-lead dog mauls our cat in front yard
"No dog should be walked off lead in the street, and dogs should also be kept on leads in busy parks where people are picnicking on the grass, playing football etc. I would never let my dog off if I thought she might run up to people milling around.…"

Off-lead dog kills another cat – this time in Walpole Road

I'm starting this as a new thread in case people don't see the update to the previous one. Another cat has been killed by what appears to be the same dog, this time on Saturday (June 13) in Walpole Road. The owner has clear doorbell footage of the moment of the attack, which means the owner should be easily identifiable, and has asked for it to be circulated as widely as possible. They are extremely distressed and obviously want the dog stopped before it kills more cats or escalates its attacks…See More

RD replied to Natasha *'s discussion Hornsey school for girls
"Our daughter left Hornsey last year and I am loathed to recommend it. The high turnover of class teachers, which has been a running theme for years, had an impact on the standard of lessons across a number of subjects in her GCSE years, which meant…"

RD replied to Hugh's discussion The south-central wards swung it for the Greens, but why did people vote as they did?
"Agree about Catherine West. The fact she's going after Starmer as though it's all his fault suggests she really has no clue what's going on in her constituency at grassroots level."

RD replied to Hugh's discussion The south-central wards swung it for the Greens, but why did people vote as they did?
"Just thought of another one – Hornsey Town Hall. Was supposed to be redeveloped as a community arts centre, got sold off for housing instead. The one area that can be hired, the Assembly Hall, is said to be so prohibitively expensive that the…"

RD replied to Hugh's discussion The south-central wards swung it for the Greens, but why did people vote as they did?
"We voted Green because it felt like Labour had ceded all responsibility for dealing with the traffic on the Ladder roads to eye-wateringly expensive consultants who don't have a clue what it's really like to live in the area. Because they…"

"I feel sad for Zena, who has been a great grassroots councillor. But Labour's apathy towards sorting out the Ladder traffic issues is why the three of them lost in Harringay."
