Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi anyone know any persons who could pick a drop leaf table up from Dorset and bring it to London?
Prefer someone. Who does this nationwide I guess because I imagine it would be cheaper?
Let me know if you have done the same at anytime
Thanks
Emma

Try calling Wayne 07487 715428, who i recommend, having used his Van help (but not so far as Dorset!) a couple of times and was very happy.

Thanks both!! Will try both out.

Hi Geraldine

I followed your recommendation and called Wayne, but unfortunately I didn't have as good experience as you had. I had it all booked and he seemed nice, but on the day, he didn't turn up and didn't answer my calls or txts. I just wish he had told me so that I could have arranged something else...

Alex.

Hi Emma,

You could speak to a friend of mine -Giles 07930716366 - he makes regular trips to london with his van/lorry full of antiques to and from Phillips the auctioneers. He's based down near Stroud (Glos) so is already half way there.

What he would charge you I have know idea but he's a lovely chap. You'll need to tell him Andy (in harringay) gave you his number.

good luck

brilliant thanks Andy will give him a call as got some quotes from the other referrals. I will Giles a call and see what he says and mention you.

Thanks again

Hey there, Emma! Hope it all went smooth with the furniture moving.

I will also need to move houses pretty soon (in a month or so going to London ) and thought maybe you could give an opinion, based on your moving experience. I don't have much stuff to move, concerned for only a few bigger and heavier items.

Any success with any of the recommended companies here - https://www.shiply.com/man-with-a-van/https://www.anyvan.com, etc.?

A friend of mine mentioned these guys:

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Abigail,
Anyvan was REALLY GOOD. Got some good quotes and they were rated so you could guess how reliable they were. I went with a company called target couriers that were reasonable. Although dean on here mentioned seems good for a local job.
Good luck! Emma

Thanks a lot for the reply, Emma!

Will definitely think about it and explore my options. Perhaps even contact them in the next days and see what happens.

Best,

Abi

Yes you don't need to commit and you get loads of quotes with anyvan and best to wait a few days because I found the quotes for cheaper...

Fingers crossed I can get a decent quote, since my budget is kinda tight right now.

yes you should do. Mine halved when I waited 2 days so good to hold out..good luck!

Oh wow! that's great! hope I get the same deal; I guess I just need to be a bit more patient :)

Thanks again, Emma
