Hi Neil,
I had to drink over there when you couldnt get my favorite beer (Redemtion Hopspur) on green lanes.
They won a CAMRA award winter 2015/16, if that helps with your decision.
They also have a web site i believe
Salisbury is getting Beavertown's 'Gamma Ray' on tap - a great N17 beer.
We went to the Antwerp Arms on a Saturday afternoon to support this community pub, and to be honest, the language was foul. A few blokes around the bar swearing as if nobody else was in the place.
I could imagine a much more pleasant experience
I'll stop there pre and/or post a game at The Lane. Even used to take my son and daughter when they were little.
But your right, its great in the off season. we'll stop there on the way back from a walk on the lea river.
I've always found it really friendly.
Well, not a match, more like Sky Sports news with the results. Not busy.
I will give it a second go. I was so pleased it became a community pub, and it has such a wonderful location.
Neckoil is even better than 'Gamma Ray'!! I will definately have to pop back :-)
Salisbury actually will rotate Beavertown beers on the Gamma Ray tap. Currently they have 'Bloody El' which is very tasety
Brilliant story, well done the Antwerp Arms community
