Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've got several old towels, still in fairly good condition but too many for a household of our size, plus some pillows that have seen better days, I don't think the charity shops would want them but if there any way to recycle them or donate them to a shelter that anyone knows about? Many thanks!

Possibly a dog or cat shelter? Certainly for towels at least.

Yes, animal shelters. Definitely the wildlife hospital near Edmonton, Enfield direction. I think they've got a visitor centre too, so might make a good day out. Not very helpful that I can't remember the name of the place or where it is though, sorry!

Thank you guys, I'll contact the cats protection and see if I can find the Enfield centre.

Try Wood Green animal shelter, stokey cats & dogs, or cats protection at archway.
I've taken some to the RSPCA (PDSA? can't remember which) charity shop at the top of Blackstock Road. They get passed on to the rescue centres.

This is a really good idea. I have several old pillows and towels I need to get rid of. Would be happy to give to an animal shelter if they could use them!

That's right they don't usually want pillows and duvets, but if you have feather pillows and duvets you can compost the fillings or bury them in your flowerbeds.
If you are handy with a sewing machine, old bed linen can be made into things like lining a laundry basket, making storage bags for shoes etc.

The RSPCA's Harmsworth Animal Hospital will gladly take old towels, etc, to use for bedding. They are just off the Seven Sisters Road, the stretch west of Finsbury Park Station, at 22 Sonderburg Road, N7 7QD.
