Hi, just posting this because it's such a shame to see an offer of a FREE squash coaching session go unappreciated... i.e. Tottenham Green Leisure Centre don't seem to want to publicise it on their website.
"Here is an opportunity for all those women who would like to learn how to play squash. Get great pointers, from someone who knows the game, and have fun doing it.
"Level 2 squash coach Vicky te Velde is delivering a 45 minutes squash coaching session at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre every Thursday from 5.45 - 6.30pm. The cost of the session is £3.30.
"Once you have RSVP’d just turn up on the day and ask for the Women’s squash coaching session, and make your payment at the centre reception. All you need wear are comfortable sports clothing and non-marking sports footwear. Rackets and balls are proved."
It started at the end of January, and is ongoing. Vicky is great - encouraging, patient and knows her stuff.
The blurb above was posted on the Haringey Squash Club Meetup page. If you want to double check if it's on, you can call Tott Green, or find Vicky on Twitter/Facebook. But I think it's safe to assume it'll be on for the next few weeks at the very least.
If you've never tried it before, this is the perfect chance to give it a go. (Assuming you're a woman and can make it that early...)

Oh I wish I had read this earlier today, I hope to make it to the next session.
Sorry you missed it, but it's definitely on next week, and for the foreseeable future.
can I just put a plug in for Coolhurst Squash and Tennis club in Crouch End. Many people are not aware of it. It is probably the premier London squash venue with 7 squash courts. Club nights are Sunday and Wednesday when prospective members can come along and play for a few quid. Ask the club night organiser when you arrive and they will try to match you with a similar player(beginners welcome)http://www.coolhurst.co.uk/
I'm happy to answer any questions about it. Also tottenham green has good squash facilities and a club night, but as the poster said...they don't really shout about it!
Hi Steph, the Thursday sessions are still going on. (Sorry for v delayed response! I thought I would get notifications for this thread if anyone responded...)
It's at 5.45pm on Thursdays. For the next month, the coach might not be there, but there are players of different abilities, and we do drills and then play.
There is also a similar women-only squash thing going on on a Tuesday at Clissold Leisure Centre, 7pm-8.30pm. It's £2.50 to get into the centre, but otherwise free.
Thanks, I'll pass this on to someone I know who may be interested.
I've been playing at the Clissold Leisure recently, only two courts so a bit of a struggle to get after-work times unless you're organised but decent availability during the day and weekends. It's also a much nicer than average leisure centre as a whole.
