Spotted last week on the Lee by Tottenham Marshes, this wonderful home-made craft is a paddle boat. The paddles, stored on top of the boat, slip on to the apparatus on the boat's stern. This is then apparently hand-cranked. Goodness knows what speed she makes, but you have to hand it to the builder for originality.

I guess you've concluded that people in houseboats don't have wifi or the internet. Makes it easier to have a pop, eh?

I should have added that the boat is almost certainly a houseboat.
