Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Great result for Sarah Olney. A firm message to the Government to rethink on a Hard Brexit Strategy as safe seats will be challenged. 70% of Richmond voted for remain, this is their victory.

Just to clarify - this was not a safe seat for the Government as there was no Conservative candidate. Zac Goldsmith stood as an Independent, having resigned the Conservative whip. Whatever his views on Brexit, independent candidates seldom do well so I would be cautious about extrapolating this result.

Ken Livingston another Mayoral candidate received a different result as an Independent, you need to listen to your electorate, or exit by the ballot box. This still remains a great result, from a well contested election, which needed over a 20% swing to win.

Of course you would.

You'd rather support an unelected PM.. Not elected to be leader by her party, nor by the country. Just appointed by yet another unelected individual. The Queen.

Let's take back control ... scoff!

Zac Goldsmith was an Independant and unoficial Tory/ UKIP candidate. The Conservatives and Kippers did not stand anyone against him and they campaigned on his behalf and if he had been re-elected he would have still voted with the government, apart from anything concerning Heathrow. And Zac obvioulsy thought it was a safe seat having a 23,000 majority.
