After the rainy start to the week, I needed to get my walking shoes on and get out for a bit. I decided to head to Woodberry Wetlands for a walk and a bit of lunch at Lizzy's at the Coal House (not disappointed, lovely risotto!)
I was rewarded almost as soon as I arrived with a rainbow.
After lunch I walked slowly around the reservoir spotting birds, including cormorants, tufted ducks and later the young great crested grebe.
The skies were amazing, constantly changing from darkest grey to great towering clouds, blue sky and a weak but determined November sun
The trees were still trying to add a little colour to the scenery
but most of the leaves were on the ground by now
Walking back the West Reservoir was determined to get in on the dramatic action
Such a lovely place, so lucky to have it so close. As lovely in Winter as Summer. Go soon and listen to the wind in the reeds.

Two bed flats in the blocks in your first pic go for £300K... but cash only because above the 4th floor and worries about older concrete.
