Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Lots of police, air ambulance, spectators

Someone mentioned shots but this is unsubstantiated.

Police described it as a " crime scene " so probably not a traffic accident

Just drove past. The street is still cornered off but no helicopter had gone. Residents all out in the street, i assumed it was a road traffic accident. Hope nothing fatal!
On my way back. Sniffer dogs working the house on that stretch. Dogs going in each of the houses one by one
Apparently someone was shot, which is just awful especially in the middle of the day. The victim was taken away by stretcher in an ambulance and not the air ambulance so I'm hoping they were stable.
And another shooting last week at Turnpike Lane reported on there. We live at the top of Wightman and had just walked past today half an hour before with our kids. Horrible.

Got to admire the skill of the helicopter pilot to land and take off in such a confined space with all the traffic lights and street lights.

Yes.

I happened to be at the nearby recycling centre at the time and I could see how many circuits of the area the pilot made before (thanks for the pics) they set down in the middle of the crossroads.

I had mistakenly assumed the accident/incident was nearer Ducketts Common - which would have been easier for the pilot perhaps.

Really sorry to hear about this. It was on the BBC London news just now.
